As part of the 2nd International Ecohydrology Workshop in Tunisia (ECOTUN 2), taking place from 14 to 15 May 2025, and organized by INSTM Carthage (Tunisia) in collaboration with the UNESCO-IHP Ecohydrology Programme (UNESCO Headquarters Paris, France), we are pleased to announce the call for applications for the Second National Training on Ecohydrology and Microplastics – PLASTICTRAIN, to be held in Tunisia on the same dates.
This edition of ECOTUN also marks two important milestones: the 50th anniversary of the Intergovernmental Hydrological Programme (IHP) and 60 years of water sciences at UNESCO.
The PLASTICTRAIN training course is designed to share knowledge on ecohydrological principles and practical, science-based solutions for preserving the Ghar El Melh UNESCO Demonstration Site. The training will focus on water quality and biodiversity monitoring through a transdisciplinary approach, supporting sustainable development and ecosystem conservation in this vital coastal area.
Attached are the detailed call program and the PLASTICTRAIN-ing objectives.
